BACF Board Meeting 2
The second meeting of the Baa Atoll Conservation Fund Board was held on 22 July 2013 at Ministry of Environment and Energy. The meeting was chaired by Ibrahim Naeem, Director General of Environmental Protection Agency. The main discussion point of the second BACF board meeting was on issue grants from BACF to the local communities. The major outcome of this meeting were allocation of a maximum grant ceiling and agreement on tentative dates for the work to be carried out to achieve this.
Annual Report BACF 2012
The Annual Report of Baa Atoll Conservation Fund 2012 is now available online at BACF website under Reports and Downloads . The main component of this report consists of financials of BACF of 2012 and other activities undertaken by the fund during the reporting period and also carries a message from the BACF Managing Director.
Third meeting of Biosphere Reserve Advisory Board Meeting undertaken
The 3rd Board meeting of the Biosphere Reserve was held today at the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The meeting was attended 8 participants from 5 stakeholders.
Call for pre-proposals 2013/2014
The Baa Atoll Conservation Fund (BACF) has invited for Call for pre-proposals for 2013/2014.
The focal areas which BACF aims to deliver benefits are in the areas of:
1. Program for the protection, conservation and management of biological and natural resources, biodiversity and nature protection in Baa Atoll,
2. Livelihood improvement program for Baa Atoll residents, focusing on projects that are in line with sustainability and atoll ecosystem conservation policies,
3. Research, awareness raising and education program, focused on protection, conservation and management of biological and natural resources, biodiversity and nature protection in Baa Atoll.
